ABSTRACT

The utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools in the field of education is inevitable. As the technology progresses, the one that is benefited the most is the educational sector. This technological progress in education is very helpful especially in teaching students with special needs. Dr. Ruby Lanting-Casaul Educational Foundation, Inc. Tabaco City as the only Higher Education Institution located in the first district of the province of Albay offering inclusive education, have witnessed the advantage of utilizing ICT tools in teaching the said students. The study aimed to identify what ICT tools are commonly used by teachers in teaching students with special needs and determine the problems encountered by teachers in utilization of ICT tools in teaching students with special needs. The researcher used mixed methods of research design. Data were gathered from twelve respondents including the eleven (11) teachers and one (1) Special Education (SPED) Coordinator using survey questionnaire and interview. Using the methodologies, the researcher had identified the ICT tools commonly used by teachers and the problems they encountered in teaching students with special needs. The researcher had also created a resolution to solve the problems encountered addressed to the College President.
