ABSTRACT
Effective communication between teachers and parents is crucial for enhancing pupil outcomes and fostering a supportive learning environment.
This study aimed to examine the effects of open communication between teachers and parents on pupil outcomes, specifically focusing on academic achievement, pupil engagement, and behavioral development. It sought to describe the nature of communication practices and their impact on the educational experience of learners. The study also aimed to identify significant relationships between communication strategies and various pupil outcomes. Utilizing a descriptive research method, data were collected through surveys and interviews with 30 parents, 10 teachers, and 20 pupils within the school. The results indicated that effective communication is positively associated with enhanced parental involvement, improved student motivation, and better academic performance. The study found that regular, transparent communication between home and school contributes to a more supportive learning environment and strengthens the partnership between teachers and parents. Based on these findings, an Action Plan was developed to improve communication practices, aiming to foster more collaborative relationships and better support learner success.
