ABSTRACT
This study determined the influence of a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) on academic engagement inside an inclusive classroom. Implementing a UDL inside an inclusive classroom definitely affects the academic engagement of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) students in achieving the main goal of inclusive education which is providing possibilities to attain their potential and provide an equitable learning environment. This research used the qualitative case study methodology. Data gathered concluded that to a certain extent, using multimedia in class was an important medium inside the class that could improve the engagement of students academically with ASD. The results of this study could be tried out by the teachers in dealing with students with ASD to reach the aim of inclusion which is providing students with disability the opportunities for both social and academic achievement.
