PURPOSE
SDO Santa Rosa City through the Curriculum and Implementation Division (CID) spearheaded by the supervisor in TLE introduced and developed digitized learning materials in Cookery 10. TLE teachers of Aplaya National High School and Aplaya National High School - Annex utilized the said materials in their teaching. This research aimed to determine the challenges and effects in the utilization of the developed digitized learning materials and design an enhancement to improve learners’ performance and marked significance in the field of education.
DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH
Research data were obtained with quantitative research methods through a self-made questionnaire validated by research experts. The respondents were asked on the challenges encountered by them in the utilization of digitized learning materials in Cookery 10 and its effects to teaching and learning. The mean scores from the given questionnaire determined the implications of using digital materials in Cookery 10.
FINDINGS
The first part of the findings has composite mean of 2.43 gives the impression of disagreement of the respondents and that they don’t feel challenged in using the digitized learning materials in Cookery 10. The second part showed that, all the indicators were agreed by most of the respondents that they feel challenged in using the digitized learning materials in Cookery 10 with composite mean of 2.29. The third part showed the overall composite mean was 3.6 which implies that most of the respondents highly agree that there are positive implications of using digitized learning materials in Cookery 10.
The last part of the findings showed a composite mean of 3.13 which implies that the respondents agree that there are positive implications of using digitized learning materials in Cookery 10.
RESEARCH LIMITATIONS/IMPLICATION
This study is however limited to the Grade 10 teachers and students of ANHS and Aplaya Annex in the Division of Santa Rosa City.
ORIGINALITY/VALUE
The result of this research could be used by SDO Santa Rosa City as basis for curriculum planning.
