RESIDENCE ATTITUDES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF COMFORT ROOMS

ABSTRACT

Cleanliness in the community is just an important as cleanliness for individuals and families. Sanitation means public cleanliness using clean and safe comfort rooms, keeping water source clean and disposing of garbage safely. Comfort rooms should be seen as a core of component of environmental design. The purpose of this study is to know the residence attitudes on the importance of having comfort rooms in a community health care. This research has positive implication for sanitation and health practitioners. A total of 176 respondents from the study locale participated in the study. Majority of the respondents are female and single, and most of them are elementary graduate. The respondents viewed that practicing cleanliness and hygiene of the comfort room cannot be overlooked by any society with (WM=3.94) as strongly agree. It is also viewed that the faith and civilization stresses the importance of cleanliness particularly to restroom (WM=2.87).
