Reading Dimension

Dr. Marites Q. Balba

· Volume I Issue I

Today I am a princess

Tomorrow a scientist

The next day, an astronaut

And next week who knows what will I be?

See, it all depends on which book I read

On the personality the characters possess

It’s all in the magic that books bring

That seems like roses blooming in a summer spring.

With books, there’s no fixed dimension

Nor an infinite space to travel

When my passion for reading brings me

To a dimension where I can use my imagination.

I’m ready to go and say goodbye

To a native land where I grew up

It’s nice to go to another place

And say hello to another me.

Now I am here in a distant land

In a world where I can be myself

Where there are no pretensions—

In the safest place I long to be.

So let’s start to travel today

For tomorrow’s going to be a new day

I will travel and take care of you when you go with me

In a world I fondly call reading dimension.
