PROJECT CREATES: INPUT TO ELEVATE LEARNER'S ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

(Purpose) The purpose of this study is to develop an ecological program that will elevate environmental awareness among learners and community. 

(Methods) Descriptive statistics were utilized to determine percentage, weighted mean, and rank to describe the variables of study. The respondents were chosen from intermediate pupils (YES-O members) of Sto. Tomas North Central School for the school year 2020-2021. There were 45 respondents who participated in the study. The researcher prepared a self-made questionnaire. The survey questionnaires had been gathered through online. 

(Findings) On the level of knowledge about environmental issue, waste management got the highest weighted mean (2.33) with verbal interpretation less knowledge and climate change got the lowest rank which obtained 1.16 weighted mean with verbal interpretation no knowledge. On the other hand, on the level of knowledge about environmental activities, the highest weighted mean was recorded on Recycling (Practicing 3Rs) which was 1.89 with verbal interpretation of less knowledge and lowest weighted mean was at the resource consumption (1.24) which fall under no knowledge which means that the knowledge of the respondents about environmental activities was also low.
