I. Project Summary
Project 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle): Campaign for Better Environment is an initiative campaign of the school to promote proper segregation of waste in the school and community as well. This initiative aimed to uplift awareness about waste and the harmful effects of this to the community. With this project, the school will enable the community to take some actions towards improving the quality of waste and make it easier to get rid of it properly. This campaign will run from May 2022 to July 2022.
II. Project Background
"Without an effective and efficient waste management program, the waste generated from various human activities, both industrial and domestic, can result in health hazards and have a negative impact on the environment," state Iyyanki Muralikrishna and Valli Manickam from ResearchGate (December 2017). An area can have a clean and safe environment by implementing an efficient waste management program.
One of the current issues that the Philippines is having trouble with is improper waste disposal, which is primarily a human problem. Numerous studies carried out over the years have determined the significance of appropriate waste disposal in the community and the consequences of improper waste disposal for the environment, the community, and public health.
In order to promote and attain a clean, green environment and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the DepEd schools and offices the guidelines on Solid Waste Management contained in The Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, also known as RA 9003.
In line with this, the school will distribute pamphlets outlining several methods of segregation of waste. Tarpaulins will be placed around the school and throughout the community to raise awareness about this environmental concern. Information drive among learners will be facilitated. Information will also be disseminated through the use of social media platforms. The following reference was used in crafting this project:

III. Project Objectives
The following are the objectives of the project:
1. Obtain the cleanliness and orderliness of the school and barangay
2. Promote ecological awareness to the residences in the barangay.
