PROFILING THE READING INTERVENTIONS USED BY TEACHER-ADVISERS OF BALOKBALOK ELEMENTARY

SCHOOL: BASIS TO A READING PROGRAM

Generally, this study is to profile the reading interventions used by teacher-advisers of Balokbalok Elementary School. Similarly, the perception of teacher-advisers on the use of intervention materials in reading was determined. Moreover, the intervention materials that can be useful in teaching reading will also be profiled. Furthermore, the perception of teacher-respondents on their roles in reading remediation was also sought.

Based on the findings, a reading intervention program was proposed to answer the needs of pupils in reading.

The study used the descriptive survey design with the questionnaire as the main data gathering instrument. Eight teachers of Balokbalok Elementary School were the respondents of this study. It was undertaken at Balokbalok Elementary School for school year 2018-2019. The output of this study will be the reading intervention program which was used to help non-readers read.
