PARENT INVOLVEMENT ON SCHOOL LEARNING MODALITIES

The social background, such as family, school and culture, whose educational relationship has recently become increasingly relevant, is undeniably influenced by the developmental phase of learners. The parents and or guardians are the first teachers of the learners, and this role continues even when they begin school. In addition, parents must become cooperative. Partnership with teachers to create environment that supports their children’s success at school.

While parents have a so-called weekly home learning plan, parents have been asked if it has benefited them or they still need feedback from the school to further assist learners in answering or studying their modules. Many parents still do not grasp the substance of the weekly home learning plan based on the details and have not even read it. The role of parents in school learning modalities needs a collaborative work to achieve the success of the learners in their academic performance.
