ABSTRACT

This research explains the significance of reflective writing for senior high school students. Of Truth and Letters is the title of the collection of creative non-fiction works of grade 12 HUMSS students which tell about their experiences, impressions, and practices that show their perceptions of a grade 12 student in career decisions, life situations, and being an adult learner. Non-fictional writing helps them to improve their understanding, decision-making, choices, goal setting, and managing relationships and perspectives in their environment and life in many positive ways. It is a method of self-reflection. Creative non-fiction is truthful writing using the techniques of creative writing. It is an investigative method and a learning process. It facilitates and extends learning among senior high school learners as a consistent activity. It also influences student engagement in many ways. As Humanities and Social Science students, it is beneficial in building their awareness, attention, and responsibility by recording observations, noting responses, and reflecting on them.
