Most students in both public and private schools attended face-to-face classes for the first time during the 2022–2023 academic year, which marked a significant change. Face-to-face classes present challenges to an educational system that has historically struggled to educate students, who need to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing while maintaining good hygiene. The teaching force has historically been overburdened. The difficulty of teaching in multilingual classrooms and the demand for more teachers and classrooms are the two issues that stand out. These issues can be addressed by hiring a more diverse teaching force, including highly qualified bilingual educators and teachers of English and physical education students. This shows that teachers serve as role models for students.
Education policy is frequently changed, which has an impact on curriculum and instruction. The 21st-century skills are one of the most recent changes, and they are not only advantageous for students and teachers but also essential for preparing our children for their future careers. Allowing students to be innovative and utilize the power of technology to support necessary skills and learn distinctively is essential in an era of education where standardized tests determine the success of our schools.
Two key trends in educational policy for the twenty-first century are school choice and academic accountability. For their kids' education, parents want both better options. Therefore, the challenge is to prevent tests from further distorting the curriculum and depriving students of worthwhile education.
