This research aimed to determine the Mathematics skills of Grade 5 pupils in Nasugbu West Central School. Based on the findings of the study are as follows: The respondents moderately agreed to the extent that they perceived Mathematics as a subject. They perceived that Mathematics is primarily a formal way of representing the real world. Pupils have fair performance in board work activities. They found it hard to solve problems or equations independently. Meanwhile, the respondents have good performance in group dynamics. They showed willingness to learn new things with the group members and they participated well in the group they belong. The age and gender of pupils did not affect their performance in board work and group dynamics since both activities can be performed regardless of age and gender. On the other hand, board work and group dynamics affected the pupils in achieving good grades in Mathematics since these activities are both important component in the Performance Task of the pupils in learning Mathematics. The intervention program was made by the researcher.
