ABSTRACT
The main thrust of this study was to assess the level of significance of the local legislative capability and cooperative governance of the Sangguniang Bayan Members in the Municipality of Los Baños. This study used a descriptive correlational design. The total population was 136 respondents which were composed of Sangguniang Bayan Members of Municipality of Los Baños and its constituents. The result showed that the Sangguniang Bayan Members of Los Baños are capable to plan, formulate policies and enact legislative outputs for the improvement of the Municipality of Los Baños. Moreover, a significant relationship between the level of the local legislative capability and cooperative governance of the Sangguniang Bayan Members in the Municipality of Los Baños was revealed. The Sangguniang Bayan Members and their staff may undergo enhanced training programs which will hone them in performing their duties and responsibilities.
