ABSTRACT

Students are the most important factor in educational system. It has been said that students' traits, character, attitudes are the foundations upon which a successful learning is ultimately constructed.

The new normal of education demands for assessing the teaching competencies and instructional practices of teachers in Secondary Schools. The descriptive method of research was used in this study. Needs-Assessment-Questionnaire was employed. Weighted mean, standard deviation and Pearson r were used in the study. There were two hundred eighty (280) grade 7 students as the respondents of the study. The study used purposive sampling.

It was found out that the results of the study show the respondents strongly agree on the learning styles of Grade 7 students in Araling Panlipunan in terms of Auditory Learning and Kinesthetic Learning while they moderately agree in Visual Learning and Reading / Writing. Also, majority of the respondents agree on the attitude of students in learning Araling Panlipunan Lessons. Wherein there is a significant relationship between the learning styles of Grade 7 Students in Araling Panlipunan in terms of visual learning, auditory learning, reading, and writing and kinesthetic learning to the attitude of Grade 7 Students in Learning Araling Panlipunan Lessons. Based on the results of the study which show problem in the learning styles and attitudes of students in Araling Panlipunan, the researcher makes a work text to enrich the skills and learning of students in Araling Panlipunan.
