Philippines as an archipelagic nation,
Unity is a problem that entails an attention.
But the hope is always in the horizon,
That we will act and think in unison.
The challenges brought forth the divergence in belief,
The Filipino language stood up in grief.
To amalgamate regions with a significant aim,
Of developing our nation and raise it to fame
Centuries had passed, and our solidarity was tested.
Foreign invaders reigned, and our country was exploited.
But our language became a sturdy instrument,
To incessantly prosper and not be called an indolent.
Over the years, the Filipino language has paved the way,
In energizing the economy in great display.
In communicating, doing business, commerce, and trade,
Our language is our pillar for the continued growth we’ve made.
From our ancestors to the new generation,
The Filipino language links their comparable aspiration.
Though foreign languages struggled to exist,
But our language prevails and has never been diminished.
In the art of communication and literature,
The Filipino language sounds sweet and pure.
Medium of thoughts, understanding, and learning,
Reviving a passionate heart that keeps on burning.
To dive into the deep knowledge of man,
And to fly the most sublime experience of everyone,
Our language which shelters the mystery of the past,
We must cherish and preserve it to last.
Our world is constantly moving and changing.
So, let's continue to develop our culture and keep growing.
Nurture our language, as stated in an adage,
Because “language is culture, and culture is our language.”
