ABSTRACT

Parent’s participation is defined as the active engagement of a parent with their child outside of the school in any activity which centers on enhancing academic performance. It is commonly defined as “parent’s work with schools and with their children to benefit the children’s educational outcomes and future success”. It refers to how much the parents are interested, knowledgeable and active in their child’s life. This study utilizes descriptive methods of research involving thirty-five (35) teachers. The following are the results of the study: The respondents disagree in the participation of parents in enhancing the academic achievement of pupils with regards to supporting learning activities at home. The respondents respond moderately serious on the problems regarding parents’ participation in different school activities to enhance the academic achievement of their children. There is a significant relationship between perspective of respondents regarding parents’ participation on enhancing the academic achievement of pupils and the problems encountered on it which implies that parents’ participation indeed important in enhancing the academic achievement of pupils and also to boost their confidence in participating and performing in all school activities. The Interactive Learning Activities (ILA) is made by the researcher based on the results of the study.
