ABSTRACT
This research aims to evaluate the degree to which a range of difficulties have been addressed in addressing the above objectives, the most challenging of which was the absence of a well-established, peer-reviewed basis of evidence for virtually every aspect of the topic of this research. The Committee replied by drawing on existing literature, governmental and non-governmental studies, analysis from relevant fields of experience and study, key informant interviews, and testimony delivered during the Top of Form Bottom of Form Workshops and site visits committees to formulate a variety of key observations and conclusions outlined in the previous chapters. Those observations and conclusions are condensed into five general conclusions in this final chapter. These findings, in effect, serve as the basis for the committee's recommendations on a concerted, multi-sectoral response to commercial sexual abuse and the sex trafficking of minors in the Philippines. Recommendations for the researcher include strategies for raising awareness and understanding among professionals and the public, including children and adolescents as well as research, initiatives and collaboration among key partners; review of current and future programs; and development of a digital information-sharing platform to facilitate cooperation and coordination among providers, practitioners and the general public. A number of individuals and organizations also provide input on main implementation approaches for the researcher's recommendations.
