Gender stratification refers to the social ranking, where men typically inhabit higher statuses than women. Often the terms gender inequality and gender stratification are used interchangeably. There are a variety of approaches to the study of gender stratification. Most of the research in this area focuses on differences between men’s and women’s life circumstances, broadly defined.

In this study, twenty seven (27) Junior High School students were the respondents. Fifteen (15) or 55.6 percent of the respondents are ages 15, nine (9) or 33.3 percent of respondents are ages 16, and three (3) or 11.1 percent of respondents are ages 18. This demonstrates that the majority of responders are ages 15 and most of them are male.
