FILIPINO LANGUAGE FOREVER STANDS

by: HANNAH FAITH L. FACURA

· Volume V Issue I

Filipino language, so rich and so vast,

Echoes the traditions that have long past,

Reflects our history that's ancient and grand,

And mirrors the culture we endlessly stand.

Each word and phrase, a story to be told,

Of our ancestors' triumphs that never grow old,

Their struggles, their dreams and identity,

All embedded in our language so lively.

From the North to the South, we speak with delight,

With dialects that vary, yet all sound just right,

Tagalog, Visayan, Ilocano, and more,

Are the languages we own and forever adore.

In every region, we have unique ways,

Of expressing ourselves in our daily pace,

Greeting with 'Magandang araw', 'Maayong adlaw,'

Shows the warmth and kindness we truly allow.

And when we're happy, we say 'Salamat,'

When we eat, we say 'Kain na't mag-enjoy na’t,'

Our words are alive, and they reveal more,

Than just what they mean, but what we adore.

Our language is our identity and pride,

Embodies our essence and who we are inside,

Our culture, our heritage forever bound,

In the Filipino language so profound.

So let us cherish it, pass it on to the youth,

And celebrate its glory with the whole truth,

Filipino language, so rich and so grand,

Mirrors the culture, forever stands!
