This study aimed to determine the factors affecting parents’ participation in facilitating intermediate learners enrolled in Modular Distance Learning (MDL) in Lian Central School, Lian, Batangas. The survey questionnaire was used to utilize the weighted mean and standard deviation to carry out this study. Result showed that majority of the teachers belonged to the categories of middle ages. Most of them are female. It also showed that the teachers have earned masteral units. In terms of teaching positions, most of them are Teacher III. Likewise, most parent-respondents also belonged to the middle age group. Most of the parent-respondents are female, elementary graduates and belonged to low-income families. Respondents agree on the factors affecting parents’ participation in facilitating intermediate learners enrolled in MDL in terms of time management, communication and attitudes towards modular distance learning. There was no significant difference on the responses of teacher-respondents towards factors affecting parents’ participation in facilitating intermediate learners enrolled in MDL in terms of age, educational attainment and position except for sex which revealed that there was a significant difference. However, on the part of the parents, there was no significant difference on the responses of parent-respondents towards factors affecting parents’ participation in facilitating intermediate learners enrolled in MDL when profile is considered. The respondents used in this study were twelve (12) teachers and two hundred forty-one (241) parents in Lian Central School.
