ENHANCING LEARNER’S MODULE USING ICT IN EDUKASYON SA PAGPAPAKATAO FOR GRADE 4 PUPILS AT LEON M. MANIGBAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: A BASIS FOR

ABSTRACT

This study sought to enhance the learner’s module using ICT in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao 4. Specifically, it also identified that the teachers should consider the learner’s interest in answering module in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao which can also be used by other teachers.

Further, the study used descriptive method of research through the collection of data using survey questionnaire about the learner’s module provided by the Department of Education. The respondents of this study were the 16 Grade four pupils of Leon M. Manigbas ES who are currently taking Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao as part of their curriculum. The statistical tools utilized in the study were weighted mean and ranking.

After summarizing all the findings, it revealed that the perception of learners on their module was it should support the lesson by providing colorful designs, illustrations, diagrams, and pictures that can further elaborate the topic and should indicate clear directions for each exercise and assessment to be used. However, most of the pupils rated the activities presented in the module was too many and the modules do not provide colorful designs, illustrations, diagrams, pictures that can further elaborate the topic. Furthermore, this study recommends that enhancing learner’s module using ICT i.e Ebook and ManyChat may be used in teaching even in other areas. Lastly, the researcher came up with an enhanced learner’s module as an instructional material to help the learners in answering their module of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao 4 and to ensure its application in the teaching-learning process.
