EMPLOYABILITY ASSESSMENT AMONG GRADUATING STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITY OF PERPETUAL HELP

ABSTRACT

The student's employability in the digital age is essential for many reasons. The ever-changing landscape of technology and the growth of the internet have created new opportunities for many people and new challenges for the unemployed. The student's employability can be improved through motivation and skills, which can be developed through education and experience. The study assessed the employability level of graduating students at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Calamba Campus for 2022-2023. Specifically, the demographic profile of the graduating students in terms of age, gender, and program; the employability assessment of the graduating students in terms of positive self-concept, self-control, social skills, problem-solving skills, and job search skills Lastly, it seeks to determine the significant difference in the assessment of the employability of graduating students when grouped according to profile.

The respondents to the study were 181 graduating students from thirteen different colleges at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Calamba Campus. Findings revealed that the graduating students all possessed excellent levels of employability in terms of positive self-concept, self-control, social skills, problem-solving skills, and job search skills. Moreover, there is no significant difference in the level of employability when grouped according to age, gender, and program.
