ABSTRACT

Chatbots as an innovative digital tool enable students' engaging learning experience, similar to one-on-one interactions with teachers. Tamayo (2020) emphasized that chatbots for e-learning can provide a system for a personalized learning experience in which each learner gains information at their own pace. It is feasible to adjust a student's learning pace with chatbots without overly demanding. Chatbots can also be used for social learning; students from various backgrounds can express their thoughts and viewpoints on a given topic, with the bot adapting to each one individually. This study used a mixed-method design, an emergent methodology of research that advances the systematic integration of quantitative and qualitative data within a single investigation. A significant improvement in the language learning output was observed among students who have undergone language training using chatbots. The learning experience in the elearning platform provides a convenient mode of learning with the ease of use perceived by the users. Modern technology has made learners more oriented towards the utilization of e-learning tools, therefore increasing the acceptability of the platform as a mode of learning. The technology acceptance model (TAM) verifies that the student's perception of the usefulness and ease of using chatbots leads to the positive and accepting attitude of the students. It serves to initiate learning through chatbot and leads to observable and objective outcomes such as drastic improvement of scores in language assessment.
