DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF BASIC BADMINTON BOOK FOR SECOND YEAR COLLEGE STUDENTS IN
BATANGAS STATE UNIVERSITY ARASOF NASUGBU

This study is both descriptive and experimental research which was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the developed badminton book for second year students in Batangas State University, Nasugbu ARASOF, Nasugbu, Batangas during the School Year 2019-2020.

The respondents of the study were two hundred sixty-six (266) students and five (5) MAPEH teachers. Questionnaire was the main instrument in this study. Statistics such as mean, weighted mean and ranking t-test were utilized. Results showed that the developed book in badminton is congruent with the objectives unexpected competencies set by CHED in playing badminton; the objectives are organized and well presented; and enough information was discussed, and is useful. The groups revealed a more or less the same information of the topics as shown in the pre-test performance. They performed “better” in the post-test after under-going the teaching-learning process. There is significant difference between the performances of the two groups as to the results of their pre-test. This showed their homogeneity. The significant differences in the post-test performance of the two groups showed that not every change is effective. The use of developed book in badminton was as effective as when not using any supplement in teaching. The designed reinforcement program could help students to further enhance the knowledge and skills of students in playing badminton using the developed badminton book.
