ABSTRACT

In Nasugbu District, the performance of pupils was low with 45% in the total mean possible scores. Finding the determinants, the mathematics Performance of pupils if Nasugbu East District may help the researcher create activity sheets and learning materials that suits the needs and the abilities of learners. The researcher is also keen at finding the state of learner’s attitude towards the subject because for her, these attitudes may either contribute or help in learning even in the most difficult lessons in mathematics. More over, learning resources, if created for the specific needs of learners will definitely work wonders to the difficult situations in the mathematics classroom. Furthermore, the researcher believes that the manner of delivery of the teachers for a particular lessons matters. These factors maybe reconciled with the difficulties encountered by pupils in Mathematics to be able to get and realize the objectives of this study. This result of the study were the respondents strongly agree in the determinants of the performance in mathematics in terms of learner’s attitudes towards the subjects and learning resources, how ever they agreed on the teaching delivery of the teachers. The respondents marked very serious on the problem encountered that affects the performance of pupils in Mathematics.There was a significant relationship among learner's attitude, learning resources and teaching delivery of the teachers and difficulties encountered. The guided learning activity sheets is designed by the reasercher.
