ABSTRACT

The main purpose of this study was to determine the cognitive adaptation level to COVID-19 protocol implementation and the level of psychological well-being among persons deprived of liberty, determine the significant relationship between the two variables, and the impact of cognitive adaptation to COVID-19 protocol implementation to psychological well-being among persons deprived of liberty. An intervention program was proposed as the output of this study to increase and maintain the cognitive adaptation level and the level of psychological well-being among persons deprived of liberty in Olongapo District Jail. Findings revealed that persons deprived of liberty in Olongapo District Jail had a high cognitive adaptation level to COVID-19 protocol implementation and a high level of psychological well-being. On the other hand, there was a significant relationship between the two variables and the cognitive adaptation level to COVID-19 protocol implementation significantly impacted the level of psychological well-being among persons deprived of liberty in Olongapo District Jail.
