Mind-boggling seeing hundreds of parents enthusiastically attend the General Assembly for the school year 2023-2024.

Balayan East Central School spontaneously planned the orientation program. BECS empowered parents and teachers to get involved in every aspect of children’s education.

The conference began with the awarding of certificates of recognition to parents, stakeholders, and teachers who have rendered extraordinary and untiring support to all the programs implemented by the Department of Education, particularly during Brigada EsKwela 2023.

The gestures portrayed by the school and its community live in the heart of everyone in response to DepED’s mantra MATATAG- Batang Makabansa, Bansang Makabata.

After the awarding, Mrs. Lorielyn Pamintuan, PTA President and the SGC Treasurer, Mrs. Elvie Bal… discussed all the expenses and accomplishments of the organizations in retort to the progress of the school. Mrs. Pamintuan demanded and persuaded that parents and stakeholders’ support should be intensified. She said that “Huwag mawawalan ng suporta at patuloy pang paibayuhin ang pagtutulungan at makilahok sa mga proyetkto ng paaralan dahil ito ay para din sa mga kabataan” to them.

Dr. Vicky P. De Torres, Principal IV, touched everyone’s compassion for the school as she accentuated how vibrant the assistance coming from the different sectors, agencies, and communities contributed to the school. She emphasized the “No Collection Policy” and spit out a sweet joke of welcoming donations.

Contentment and cheerfulness could be observed during the orientation probably because parents knew that their participation, commitment, effort, and support to the school had all materialized and that their children were the sturdy benefactors of these positive changes.

Manifesting a strong partnership with the parents, Dr. Vicky P. De Torres, vividly discussed also the changes in the classrooms in response to Oplan Baklas initiated by the VP & Secretary of DepEd, Sara Duterte, possible inquiries regarding the enrolment and changes in the curriculum next school, behavior of parents upon going to school, and rules of the school that vendors are not permitted to enter in the school premises.

Moreover, she encourages everyone to extend their understanding of some of the strict rules implemented in the school. She emphasized the teachers’ schedule of teaching their learners is far more important than dealing with the errands of parents, and that should not be disturbed during class hours.

Furthermore, she reiterated to the parents to attend the quarterly assembly to visit and monitor the class standing and performance of their children in school.
