ABSTRACT

This research focus on the knowledge and perception of students of Vicente Madrigal Integrated School on COVID 19, it studies the preparedness of the students and if the students follows the safety precautions intended for prevention of contamination of COVID 19, in the study it is shown that most of the students follow the safety protocols and mitigation intended to suppress the contamination of this disease.

Introduction

COVID 19 makes a significant changes in all aspects of life, since the outbreak of this pandemic many have been change, those changes became the way of life in today. Thus preparedness and proper knowledge must be observe during time.

Prehabilitation or community knowledge involves interventions aimed at improving patients’ health before an anticipated upcoming physiologic stressor so that they are better able to withstand that stress. Silver (2020)

One of the technologically advanced products of knowledge management in the remote working, which lessens vulnerability and likelihood to such highly contagious infections, through distancing the remote worker from the potential illness exposure. This will enhance both quality and quantity of service to the patients due to elimination of fear and anxiety of transmission of infections from patients to health-care personnel. Roubein and Luthi (2020).

In view of the current absence of COVID-19 cure, the only available ray of hope is exclusively knowledge-sharing, which concentrates on prevention. These knowledge-sharing guidelines from Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Defense (DOD) are integrated into the knowledge management grid for effective execution. Otherwise COVID-19’s sudden, rapid, uncontrolled, and worldwide emergence and spread has rendered matchless the present medical equipment and healthcare facility (DeMeijer, 2020).

Thus prior knowledge on the pandemic would create a better understanding, it also take a way anxiety and mental issues arising from unverified information’s, valuable knowledge needed in pandemic also helps the community to understand and to create a more susceptible ways in combating this pandemic.

Information is gain by the students must be check if it’s true and verified, so schools must teach the students valuable knowledge prior the pandemic, preparation on this kind disaster must be loaded into curriculum so that students will understand easily and get the information correctly.

The aim of this study is to check if the students of Vicente Madrigal Integrated School has a valuable knowledge in this situation, prior to this community quarantine a teachers are instructed to teach the students the proper ways and prevention of this disease. Thus this study will confirm if the students apply this knowledge on their daily lives.

Methodology

The research respondents are 200 students ranging from grade 7 to grade 10, the respondent’s answer the questioner checklist using Google forms, thus this is the only way of getting facts and information to the students. Questioners are given by the advisers.

In order to show the full picture of the study the researcher use a quantitative type of research, with this the researcher will able to know the extend full knowledge of the students on COVID 19 pandemic, thus it also helps the researchers to know if the students do the preventive measurement mostly.

The students answer 9 questions related on prevention and basic knowledge on COVID 19, those questions are made and check by other Health teachers in the Department, those questions reflects the standard preventions done in order to prevent from getting the disease, the last question is all about the confidence of the learners about knowledge.

Results and Discussion

The online survey ran for almost 2 days a total of 200 student’s responses, but the form is left accepting for future responses and study.
