ABSTRACT

This study focuses on developing an Online Grading Portal allowing students to access their grades using their LRN. Traditional grading methods are often time-consuming and prone to errors. This system aims to reduce teacher workload and improve student access to academic records. The research follows a Developmental Research Design, involving planning, designing, developing, and testing the system. The portal includes separate accounts and portals for admin, teachers, and students. Administrators can manage teacher and student accounts, assign subjects, and enroll students. Teachers can log in to encode and update student grades, while students can access their grades anytime using their LRN and a password sent via email. Key technologies used include PostgreSQL for secure database management, Hono and Bun for backend development, and HTML, Tailwind CSS, and Bootstrap for the frontend. RESTful APIs ensure smooth communication between system components. Data collection involves user feedback surveys from teachers and students to assess system usability and effectiveness. The study is limited to evaluating the system's impact on grade management and accessibility, excluding automated grade computation and effects on student motivation. The Online Grading Portal aims academic record-keeping more reliable and accessible within the school community.
